ShadowForm Nerf?
today i was trying to run to TA and i notice that SF last like 3-4sec less...
did anet nerf it? this never happen b4

It's recharge time and it's duration have both been decreased. It's not really nerfed just harder and may be nerfed for all non assassin primaries...not sure on that bit.

Yes, with 16 Shadow Arts, Shadow Form only last 22 seconds now.

read updates please, shadow form got a nerfish, its still possible to perma but you have to watch your energy better.

omg this is real bad i also noticed that the shadow warrior in de fow was hitting me trough shadow form :S
any ideas for a ressurection of the build new attributes or skills ?

No, he wasn't. You were being hit by Zealot's Fire from the monk healing the warrior, which is untargetted and thus has always gone through SF.

The build does not need to be "resurrected" as it is not dead. You just have to have the right equipment and build, and you have to watch your energy and timing a little bit more now.
Untargeted AoEs will always hit you through Shadowform. Be sure you bring along a method with which to heal yourself or negate that damage.

Yes it was nerfed. It is now more energy intensive.
As an Assassin you can of course have a 16 in SA. This gives you a 22 second duration. In 22 seconds time you will regen 28.6 energy.
As an A/E you need 30 energy to maintain you permaform.
GoS 5e|DP 15e|SF 10e.
So your chain is running at a deficit now. Short farming runs can be continued with no real loss. Like the raptor farm. And stuff like that. But longer runs extending pass 5 mins, with spamming damage skills are need to continue the farm, is impossible. You will run out of energy. Unless you can take some regen breaks without no agro around.
For instance a usual damage chain is GoLE 5e |EBSoH 10e|SA 10e|BUH 5e. This damage chain cost a net of 10 energy. While at the start of a farm it wouldn't be a problem. When you reached 0 energy you would be done. You will not regen enough energy to recast your SF chain.
And of course this will be mitigated some with consumables. In UWSC where Cons are most used. The Sin does not have to use GoS to maintain permaform. This makes the permaform chain only cost 25e and with the increase in duration of 2 secs you will regen 31.2 energy. This helps when casting your damage chain. But once again when you reach zero energy you will have to wait 2 durations of SF(without casting anything else) to regen enough energy to cast you damage chain again. With monster health regen its gonna be hard to kill some things.
But now with the new duration of SF a non primary permaformer must carry GoS in the bar to maintain SF. And with +2 to SF with cons,net 14 in SF, the duration is 20 secs. The energy regen is 26. While you permaform chain cost 30e. Once again this net loss of energy from you pool now makes it impossible to farm more than 5 mins or so at a time without a break in agro to let SF go down and to completely regen your energy. And if you don't get that cooldown period then you will runout of energy and die in agro.
So with these changes it now is impossible to permaform effectively with a X/a anymore. The only one able to permaform farm now will be sin primarys and this will lead to UWSC being even more restrictive when forming parties. The UWSC parties will become all Sin primaries and slowed down a good bit due to capping earth magic at 14(assuming cons used)(base|11s33d) for them instead of a 18(base12s41d) with an E primary.
Meh, I did enjoy the UWSC runs. I hate they couldn't come up with a better way to slow the runs down. I really enjoyed doing them with my Ele since he is my primary. I have a sin an will try to do some with it and see how it works. Very sad panda I am. Very sad
And I have a question. With this new nerf of SF shouldn't the damage reduction nerf be removed?

I agree, but if they were trying to slow down perma farming (which they did) then taking away the damage reduction would speed it back up. I believe that would defeat the purpose of the nerf. That's just considering whatever the original purpose of the nerf was.
